Present Perfect vs Simple Past

In the last class we had the opportunity about to learn the important differents between present perfect and simple past.
a) Past Simple
Action takes place and ends in the past, without giving any information about what has been their impact on the present.
For Example:
When I was young I played tennis (does not give us any information about currently still playing tennis or not)
- Action to be developed and completed in a period of time already finalized.
This morning I had a very tense meeting with my boss (and is in the afternoon, the morning has ended)
Yesterday I went to the cinema with my friends
b) Presente Perfect
- Action was initiated in the past and still continues to develop.
I have worked in this bank for ten years
- Action just completed.
I have missed my train
- Action has been developed over a period of time is not over yet.
This morning I has had a very tense meeting with my boss
Today I have visited my parents
- Action developed in the past but whose impact is still evident in the present tense.
My brother has broken his glasses.
